This is the 3rd time in the last 18 years that I bought a car from Carmax. Their service is very efficient and friendly, and of course there is no sales pressure. Our sales person, Savannah, was very helpful. I was out of state, looking for a car for my daughter after her previous car was totalled in a crash. I found a car I like and put a hold on it, then spoke to Savannah over the phone. She got the loan approved and much of the paperwork done over the phone, so when I returned home a week later, they had the car ready for my daughter and me. we could still have picked another car, but it turned out the one I had put a hold on was perfect. Thanks again to Savannah and the others who made this a pleasant buying experience.
The white marsh location is huge! Everyone is extremely friendly and accommodating. Best time of the week to go in early morning during the week as they are SLAMMED on Saturdays and no open on Sundays (Baltimore county has a law against selling vehicles on Sundays). Even though there is no haggling and the prices are slightly inflated they make buying a new car fairly painless. I always recommend using their app and website to do some research first and to take advantage of their free transfers.
Great experience! I found a great deal online. During the transfer process, Terry kept me informed. The night I went for the test drive I was handed off to Jeff, who was awesome! I recommend requesting Jeff as your sales consultant. Such a gentleman! The bow at the end was priceless since it was my birthday present to myself!
The transport of the car was a nightmare. It finally arrived the following Tuesday. The final result was worth it, but I do hope that the transport situation was an anomaly.
Our sales consultant was Jeff - who gets a 5+ star rating! He was courteous, conscientious, and persistent! (He had to be!) The no haggle price is a selling point for me, even though other companies have started to have the same service.
I almost never write reviews, but had an absolutely seamless and no-pressure experience at this dealership. The car in which I was interested had to be transferred from another CarMax location, and it took longer than I had hoped, but the salesperson (Evan K.) was enormously responsive and kept me posted at all points. When I then decided I wanted the car, the purchase process was incredibly efficient, as was the process of selling my old car. If you are thinking of finding a car at this location, ask for Evan, who was terrific. Hope others have the same pleasant experience.
The car we chose was in Virginia Beach, and we were told 1 - 7 days for transport. We picked it out on Saturday, and explained that we were unavailable to come in on the following Saturday due to a prior commitment. We were also concerned that our appraisal was only good for 7 days....
